The Breast Cancer Society of Canada (BCSC) is hosting a massive fundraiser this month, and all you have to do is dress things up.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and from now until October 31, the non-profit charity is hosting its 2020 fundraiser — Dress for the Cause.
The fundraiser has taken place annually since 1998 and since its inaugural year has raised more than $10 million. Funds raised have since supported research for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of the disease.
This year’s campaign has gone digital and, despite looking a little different, will be just as fun.
From the very first day of October to the last, the BCSC is challenging everyone to participate in weekly dress-up themes. You won’t just be dressing yourself up, however — you’ll be dressing up every part of your life. Consider it a month-long costume and makeover challenge that supports a very good cause.
Each week includes a different object and theme to dress up and share on social media. The first week of October calls for decorations on a house, office, doggy, or garage door. The second week requires a costume for your desk, meaning that it’s time for a makeover to your home office or any workspace (let’s be honest, you were planning for a makeover anyway).
